PATU IV

A childhood memory with a twist.

This design is inspired by a cherished childhood memory involving my great-grandmother. As a child, whenever I got new shoes, I would eagerly rush to show them to her, holding the shoes tightly in my hands. In my excitement, I would exclaim "Patu!" trying to say "Sapatu", the Papiamentu word for shoe. "Patu" actually means duck in Papiamentu. A cute and endearing mix-up that became a family joke.

This design captures the innocence and joy of childhood, as well as the special bond I shared with my great-grandmother. By wearing it, you carry with you a piece of my heartwarming memories and the playful spirit of youth.
